About the Groom: 

 

Adriano is considered by many to be a family oriented guy, that is loyal to friends and those whom he cares about. Born and raised in Minas Gerais, Brazil, his friendly nature and soft spoken demeanor precedes him as he enters a room full of people. Growing up, Adriano admired his father who was always his best friend, until his passing until 2016. Outside of his relationship with the Lord, family, friends and soccer are Adriano’s passions. On any given day you can find him watching his favorite team GALO, from the city of Bel Horizonte, Brazil.

 

With a Masters in Information technology, Adriano came to the United States three years ago with a desire to deepen his studies in English, and possibly explore a career in the Tech industry in Silicon Valley. Adriano admits “I honestly didn’t think I was going to stay long in the US, but everything changed when I met Dawn.”  Adriano says that for the first time in his life, he fell in love and knew, by the second date, that Dawn was the woman of his life.  Adriano says, I prayed and God told me, “Dawn is your wife.”  As their relationship unfolded, the Lord brought back to Adriano’s heart a prophetic word that he received from someone in his church before he left Brazil. This word simply told him that as he was leaving that land of his birth, that he was “coming home.”  Adriano didn’t quite understand this word, until he met Dawn and then realized that after two years in the US, he had finally found his person and place of “home” the Lord had spoken to him about.

About the Bride: 

 

Dawn is a creative, free spirited, loyal and fun loving person that enjoys adventure, spontaneous moments and having a good time. Deeply rooted in family, friends and community, the most important relationship in Dawn’s life is her relationship with the Lord. As a teenager, Dawn encountered God, and since then her life has never been the same. Dawn lives with a passion to see people be everything that God created them to be in this life. 

 

As for love, Dawn tells that “I've always known that God had love and marriage in my future, since the age of 16, I had received so many God promises, but I had no idea on the details of who or how. For so many years, it seemed as if those promises would not come to pass."

 

When Dawn met Adriano she admits she had zero expectation of the relationship blossoming. She says that really she wasn't in the place of truly looking for a relationship, let alone hoping for love, especially in the manner that it unfolded. Dawn admits that, “even after we met, I was really hesitant and a little fearful, but she kept hearing the reassurance of the Lord, letting her know there was “Kingdom purpose in this relationship.” Dawn says there were two major factors that helped her to press past the fear of the unknown in her new relationship, and that was God’s continued confirmation of their relationship and Adriano’s confidence in his love for her. Dawn says, “ early on I kept trying to find Adriano’s uncertainty and flakiness, but I soon found out, that's not who he is. He possesses a quiet inner strength that she realized she needed. He brings balance and calm to her craziness, (and her friends say AMEN!) and she loves that he is a man that doesn't waiver. 

 

Ultimately it is the Love of God, founded upon Jesus Christ, that is the anchoring source of their lives and love for one another. It is their goal to grow in intimacy with one another, and as a family, pursue God's purpose over their marriage.
